Make sure that you always have your phone with you when you drive, and keep a car charger on hand so that you can charge your battery if needed. 2. Important Documentation
Write down a list of names and phone numbers that emergency personnel can call in case of an accident, such as your spouse and nearby family members and friends. You'll also want to have your insurance policy information, car registration card, and other essential documentation close at hand. Consider keeping all of these items together, in a safe and handy place, such as in your glove compartment.
3. First Aid Kit
It's always a good idea to keep a first aid kit in your car in case of an accident. You can purchase a pre-made and pre-stocked first aid kit from a pharmacy or mass market retail store, or you can make your own by including items like bandages of varying sizes, alcohol wipes, pain relievers, tweezers, and a blanket. Not only can these items come in handy in the event of an accident, but they're also good to keep on hand in case someone in your family gets a small cut or otherwise gets hurt while you're on a road trip.
